Vessel management updates

As part of improvement of vessel registration in ATLP, a new set of documents are made mandatory for Vessel Type ‘Chemical Tanker”.

Guidelines to be followed:

  • Start modifying “Chemical Tanker” vessels and attach the below list of certificates/documents in addition to existing certificates for HM approval. OR correct the Vessel Type as per certificate of registry in ATLP Vessel’s registration to validate the mandatory documents.
  • Starting from 10 November 2023, vessel modification activity is requested to be completed before 9 December 2023, as to make sure smooth workflow and to support our customers. Vessel modification charges are exempted for Chemical Tankers till 9 December 2023.
  • For new vessel registration for “Chemical Tanker”, new documents will be mandatory and new vessel registration charges will be applicable.

List of mandatory certificates/documents for Chemical Tanker vessels:

  • Cargo ship safety construction certificate.
  • Cargo ship safety equipment certificate.
  • Civil liability convention certificate.
  • International Certificate of Fitness for the Carriage of Dangerous Chemicals in Bulk.
  • International Pollution Prevention Certificate for the Carriage of Noxious Liquid Substances in bulk – NLS.
  • Last (CDI) Ship Inspection Report, or (SIRE) Ship Inspection Report.
