From 15 May to 14 August, underwater drilling and blasting works will be carried out at Temasek Fairway.
According to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore Port Marine Notice. No.41 of 2024, the works will be conducted 24 hours daily - including Sundays & Public Holidays - within the working area bounded by the following coordinates (WGS 84 Datum):
1 1° 14.230'N / 103° 39.650'E
2 1° 14.311'N / 103° 39.848'E
3 1° 14.235'N / 103° 39.880'E
4 1° 14.154'N / 103° 39.680'E
The underwater drilling & blasting works will be carried out by working and explosive barges supported by safety tugboats and workboats.
Blasting will be carried out on specific hours from Monday to Saturday.
No blasting will be carried out on Sundays or public holidays unless prior approval has been received.
Blasting works will take place at the following timings:
a. 0800hrs – 1000hrs
b. 1200hrs – 1400hrs
c. 1700hrs – 1830hrs
Safety boats will be in attendance to warn and direct craft in the vicinity to keep clear of working area.
Craft involved in the works will exhibit the appropriate local and international day and night signals.
When in the vicinity of the working area, mariners are reminded to:
a) Keep well clear and not to enter the work area;
b) Maintain a proper lookout;
c) Proceed at a safe speed and navigate with caution;
d) Maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 22 (Jurong Control);
and
e) Communicate with Jurong Control for assistance, if required.
