Vessel transits through the Panama Canal’s Miraflores Locks were manually resumed after being temporarily suspended yesterday (15 December), due to a fire was reported in one of the machinery tunnels in the upper chamber of the locks.
There were no injuries and Canal Authority specialists are investigating to determine the exact cause of the fire outbreak attempt.
