Tug operator Svitzer has announced an increase in the port volume based surcharge at Port Kembla, which will come into effect from 1 May.
The tug job volume for the 12 months which ended 31 March 2024 was 3,135 tug jobs, which means the VBS will increase from 11.2% to 17.5%.
The next review period will be for the 12 months ended 31 September 2024, with the new VBS effective from 1 November 2024.
