Pipe laying operations affecting Zaqqum Traffic Separation System

The pipe laying operation at the ADNOC Oil terminals (Das Island & Zirku Island) will be conducted in three phases.

The following guidance has been issued by the Das Port Authority:

  • Maintain a proper lookout, Proceed at safe speed and navigate with caution.
  • Be vigilant of the operation barge DLB 750 and the associated crafts during night navigation.
  • Keep well clear from the barge and pass a minimum of 2000 mtrs from the barge DLB 750.
  • Maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 23 (Das VTIS) all times.
  • Mariners can communicate with the Barge on VHF Channel 16.
  • Vessels shall not obstruct the operation of the barge and associated crafts.
  • Follow any instructions form the Barge/guard boats and inform Das VTIS for desired action.
  • Follow Marine Notice and NAVTEX warnings.
