A dragon boat racing event will take place off Tsuen Wan Waterfront Promenade from 0700 to 1800 hours on 19 May 2024 (Sunday). About 19 dragon boats are expected to participate in the race.
During the aforementioned period, a race area will be formed by straight lines joining the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum) from (A) to (D) and the adjacent shorelines:
(A) 22° 22.192’N 114° 06.470’E
B) 22° 22.155’N 114° 06.423’E
(C) 22° 22.297’N 114° 06.265’E
(D) 22° 22.324’N 114° 06.302’E
Masters, coxswains and persons-in-charge of all vessels navigating in the vicinity should keep away from the race area.
Besides, the landing steps of Tsuen Wan Area 2 Landing No. 1 will be temporarily closed from 0700 hours on 18 May 2024 to 1200 hours on 20 May 2024. Owners and coxswains of vessels are advised to use other landing facilities in the vicinity during the period of closure.
