The Brazilian Navy has issued a communication of bad weather and strong wind in several areas.
Over the next two days the formation and passage of a new frontal system influence the weather conditions in the ALFA, BRAVO and SOUTH OCEANIC areas, which may cause significant accumulations of rain and intensification of winds in these regions.
Strong to very strong wind warnings were issued in the ALFA and BRAVO areas and of very strong wind in the SOUTH OCEANIC area.
In addition, the frontal system that currently lies over the southern portion of METAREA V will tend to move away leaving the region under the action of the post-frontal high that will influence the winds in the northern regions of ECHO, FOXTROT and extreme southern GOLF. For this situation, a strong wind warning has been issued from Salvador/BA to Touros/RN.
In the northern portion of METAREA V, showers are expected, occasionally heavy, north of 05°N, due to the action of the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ). Already in the areas FOXTROT, GOLF and HOTEL, occasional light/moderate rain showers are expected strong, due to the presence of areas of instability in these regions.
