A large-scale yacht race will take place around Hong Kong Island on 20 November 2022 (Sunday). About 250 yachts and 20 rescue boats are expected to participate in the race.
According to the Maritime & Port Authority of Singapore’s Marine Department Notice No.232/2022, the yachts will set off at staggered times between 0825 hours and 1100 hours off the Causeway Bay Typhoon Shelter, then sail around Hong Kong Island in a clockwise direction, and finish the race off the Causeway Bay Typhoon Shelter by 1800 hours.
Masters, coxswains and persons-in-charge of vessels navigating in the vicinity of the race route should proceed with caution, giving practical consideration to the contestants. Compliance with the provisions of the International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea 1972 is mandatory.
