A rowing boat race will take place around Hong Kong Island on 12 and 13 November 2022 (Saturday and Sunday). About 19 rowing boats and 24 support boats are expected to participate in the race on 12 November 2022, and 9 rowing boats and 13 support boats are expected to participate in the race on 13 November 2022.
According to the Maritime & Port Authority of Singapore’s Marine Department Notice No.230/2022, the rowing boats will set off at 0800 hours outside the Causeway Bay Typhoon Shelter, then follow a route around Hong Kong Island in a clockwise direction, and finish the race at the Causeway Bay Typhoon Shelter by 1500 hours.
Masters, coxswains and persons-in-charge of vessels navigating in the vicinity of the race route should proceed with caution, giving practical consideration to the contestants. Compliance with the provisions of the International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea, 1972 is mandatory.
